Acacia Cabinetworks uses 100% recycled and/or recovered wood material that is regional sourced from certified forests. Our cabinets are produced using CARB ATCM compliance with the availability of Ultra Low Emission Formaldehyde (ULEF) process. This allows us to comply with air quality standards as stringent as those seen in California. Our customers need products to span multiple residents. Our product quality teamed with the only 5-year warranty in the industry gives peace of mind to our customers upon new residents.
As a company, we have invested heavily to be able to deliver high-end adhesives and materials. Acacia Cabinetworks brings Timeless Appeal with Enduring Quality.
Superior Grade Medium-Density Fiberboard or MDF
Superior Grade MDF has optimal quality and consistency needed for the most demanding applications in the multi-family industry. The surface area of the material is flat, smooth, uniform, dense and free of any patterns. This allows us to do intricate machining and finishing techniques with a variety of laminates. Compared to other materials, MDF has the stability and strength needed for very precise and complex patterns.
Melamine or Thermally-fused Laminate (TFL)
TFL is thermally bonded to a substrate of engineered wood or Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). It is used most commonly for the insides of cabinets. The purpose of the TFL is to give a matching interior to the exterior of the cabinets as an affordable option. It is a thinner material and therefore not recommended for an exterior where the impact resistance needs to be much higher.
Doors use a 3/4″ thick Superior Grade Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). Our MDF panels are available in a variety of 3D laminate colors and finishes. Doors are also available in a 3/4″ Acrylic and Aluminum Framed Glass. All doors and false fronts are 3/4″ thick.
Three-Dimensional Laminates (3DL) is a material option for our cabinet doors. While it is difficult for one material to satisfy a spectrum of design, cost and performance requirements, 3DL solve a variety of issues previously seen in the multi-family industry. Some issues have included: chipping, cracking, seams, inconsistent staining, softness and high costs amongst others associated with different material options. 3DL eliminates all of these and more along with bringing a very strong and durable product to the marketplace. 3DL combined with our adhesive product creates a beautiful and durable product that is truly one of a kind in the multi-family industry.
High-Definition Melamine or HDM is another superior door option. HDM is High-Definition Laminate thermally-fused over an engineered wood providing the look and feel of a real wood product without the common issues and price. The material benefits include durability, easy-to-clean and strength along with water and scratch resistance. The HDM option will look as good if not better than any other veneer option with all of the added benefits previously mentioned.
Acacia Cabinets currently use HDM for our End, Top/Bottom, Backs and shelving at 5/8” thick. Base backs use a standard Melamine panel at ¾” thick.
